Three steps for creating an unforgettable first impression on Instagram
As entrepreneurs and course creators, knowing that our efforts and energy matter, is crucial. We want to serve those who care and need our help and guidance. Because of that focusing on attracting the right audience and connecting with our people is where our attention goes when we’re currently not launching.
Remember: the bigger the Pre-Launch, the bigger the outcome. Branding your business on Instagram intentionally for building genuine connections with ease and without spending money on ads is the number one strategy I use in my business.
But what first impression makes your IG profile? You are surely not interested in wasting time by confusing your audience about what are you up to and how is that valuable to them. You know already that you only have a few seconds to make an unforgettable impression, right?
That’s why I am sharing
My three tips for branding on Instagram intentionally & creating a just-need-to-follow IG profile
1. Your profile photo:
As a personal brand, you are the face of your business. In other words, make sure you use a photo of yourself that reflects your personality. For example, if you’re a fun and outgoing person — use a vivid and playful photo of you. Similarly, if you are all about fashion and styling — then pick a modern and trendy image of you. Remember, your profile photo should be clear and high-quality (that doesn’t mean you cannot use your iPhone to create it!).
2. Your IG name:
It needs to be clear, memorable, and make sense. Of course, the best option is your name or brand name, but if you for some reason want to use something else, choose a name that sticks (as I mentioned above: clear, memorable and make sense to your brand)
3. Your IG bio:
When someone new visits your profile, it should be crystal clear if she’s in the right place. So, write clear who you are, what you do, and what’s for them (a.k.a. why should they care). Don’t forget to add a call to action like put your freebie link. You want to capture the new visitor instead of sending her/him to scroll through your website, right? The golden rule is to keep it short and straightforward.
Most importantly– you can be playful with words, but don’t be too smart. That’s just irritating. And let’s be clear: even the best bio+profile photo+name will get you nothing if you aren’t keeping what you promised. Offering great value and consistency is the number one strategy of building genuine connections and growing your brand on IG long term.
That’s about it. See, branding on Instagram doesn’t need to be complicated. Your next step — take action and remember that consistency and quality are keys.
